Hwo do i i tell apart the us s1 and jdm s1 tranny besides swaping them in the car
I have a s1 tranny and no sure if its the b16. IM also planning to buy a s1 tranny online too but see, how would i know that the one im buying online is a b16 and if mine is not or is??? Can i look at the code and will the numbers tell me? I dont wnat to waste money if its not or is. LMK

You can tell by rotating the input shaft with the transmission in fifth gear. If more than 3.5 turns (~3.75 turns) are required to make the differential housing spin one revolution, the transmission is a B16A S1. If less are required (~3.25 turns), then the transmission is an LS S1. Unfortunately, this is not something you can check unless you pick up yourself. And, from what I have heard, there is nothing in the transmission code that indicates whether it is a VTEC or non-VTEC transmission.
