hello. i swapped a 1st gen b16 into my 91 si. i can get it to start but it wont rev past 3000 rpms. can someone please help me and tell me what the problem is? i have been without this car for a while now and i miss the hell out of it. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
hello.. I have been searching all over the net trying to find someone that has a lot of knowledge about the older hondas. I have a 1991 honda crx I bought with a hopefully minor problem. First off the guy swapped the motors. The crx now has a 1992 B18 dohc engine in it that was out of a 1992 Acura Integra. 5 speed car. He said he BELIEVES it has the 0bd1 computer in it and the stock integra wiring harness. I don’t know **** about imports so im taking his word on this. The problem with the car is it wont run past 3000 RPM's. Idles and starts fine. but in any gear your in it wont go past 3000 rpm and sorta just bogs down after you hit that point? the computer is spitting out the crank sensor code but its a new dizzy? Can you guys please help me? You can reach me at 574-806-5750. thanks a ton

Distributor is bad or wiring from CKP sensor to ECU is bad, or finally ECU is possibly bad. If its a new distributor try checking for continuity to ground as well as continuity between the two wires.
If he is using an OBD1 ECU did he use a distributor adapter for the distributor? Could be a problem in the wiring for it. Is the car an Si? If not was it swapped over from DPFI to MPFI. Could be a wiring issue there as well. Also if its using an OBD1 ECU could be an issue with the OBD0-1 ECU adapter wiring. If he is running the OBD1 injectors is the resistor box deleted properly? Too many variables without some more details and pictures of the ECU and engine wiring. Reset the ECU and see if the code goes away. Also check to make sure the MAP and TPS plugs arent' swapped backwards.
