help w/ manifold options for the h22?
I am trying to find a manifold to finish my turbo project. I have a 97 honda prelude and am having problems finding a manifold. My concern is maintaining my a/c. I am leaning toward SFP's manifold but am also considering just getting a DRAG III manifold but have heard about boost creep and quality issues. If anyone has had similar problems, know any other options, or has experience with SFP or DRAG mainifolds, or any other manifold for the prelude please help me out. I am also interested in shops that can build me a custom mani THanks for all your help
We'll we custom made my brothers kit on a 97' Prelude using the Drag III tubular manifold. We chose it because our friend has it on his 95 Prelude and loved it, and it sat the turbo above the manifold which my brother liked rather than it sit below the manifold like on my 99'Si. Other than that it could be a personal preference. On thing I will tell you is that on my kit the manifold ports did not match up perfectly to the head. So I had the manifold port matched! My brothers was fine.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the info. It sounds like for the least amount of problems the DRAG III manifold is the way to go. I like the fact that the turbo sits above rather below and I feel if I port match the manifold maybe extrude hone it and jet hot coat it I may have a kick but set up. But who knows I change my mind every day and the money is burning a hole in my acount. anyone have any pics of this manifold, either on the car or off?
since your at it, it would be a good idea to work that manifold before you put it in, like DSMTURBOSI said. Most people dont take the time to get into details like that. Good luck with your setup.
