Sorry. Ment to ask what the EF model about. I saw a post some place that say something.... oh yeah well when was it imported. So i'm guessing the car was not made in the states. also is it a CRX model?

Whoa dude you've got some messed up English. That was hard to understand. Annnyyywayyy, the EF is the chassis code for the type of JDM civic discussed on this board (ie hatches, sedans, and crx's). Technically these are called ED civics in the USDM, but hell we all call them EF's. Ok there ya go.

If i rember right most people say we have ef's the us version that most of us have are ed's like are vin says but we just call them ef's . i swear ive read that on here before , Is that what you were asking . Just thought id explain so when you looked at your vin you wouldnt be confused

yeah in usa most of us have ed's ,,but the wagons are ee's..I dont know why people call them ef's,,all they have to do is look at the vin# and then realize its not an ef..

An EF is any 88-91 Civic/CRX.

Technically, it's an ED if it's made in the US and an EF if it's made in Japan.

ef is practically the chassis code for the right hand drive made in japan crx/civic they also carry dohc engines and sohc engines depend what model crx/civic.

ed is the chassis code for the left hand drive american version of the crx/civic which only carry sohc engines different power outputs depending on models.

people just call every crx/civic ef's because they originate from japan plus its easier. but dont be fooled unless a crx/civic is imported from japan and is right hand drive its not true real ef.
