Odd Noise Coming From Front
I've had this noise coming from the front that's been there ever since I bought the car last year in April. It's sort of a combination of sounds. One sound is a clunking sound coming from what I believe to be the front shocks, where you can hear the sound low speeds (<10mph) driving thru neighborhoods. Another sound coming from the front is what I believe to be something rubbing against each other when I do turns at low speeds (mainly turning into a parking spot or up onto the driveway). Hmmm sort of sounds like a saw when it just cuts into wood or metal but more of a springy type sound (I'm trying here with the description
). Anyone know what I'm talking about? Going to install my F^2 coilovers this Thur. night and want make sure everything goes smoothly.

I've been under before a few times for oil changes and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I've taken the front wheels off a few times too and didn't see anything either. I'll be installing the F^2 coilovers tomorrow night after work... well at least getting it ready for Thur. morning cause I'll prolly get off real late, and hopefully I can take a better look at it then. Thanks for the help!
clunking sounds usually happen when I ride over small bumps or unleveled roads, could that be from the axles or wheel bearing? I've broken axles b4 and driven home from Gainesville Raceway (about 80miles from Jacksonville) with it broken going like 55mph max down back roads and then I-10 and it certainly doesn't feel like that. With all that bumping driving home my lower back hurt for weeks! It sort of sounds like the shocks are hitting something but I haven't been able to pin-point what if it's that. thanks for the help again!
Ok I just finished installing the new F^2 coilovers (which ride great btw
) and the clunking noise at low speeds is gone but now the springy vibrating sound is more prominant and only occurs then I make hard left turns at low speeds. It sounds like a spring getting stretched out far apart to the point where it's about to pop if you know what I'm talking about... I'm totally stumped. Right now it's only noise but I'm afraid it could be more. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
