my seatbelt is dead....
my seatbelt expires at the end of the month. how long is the turn around time to have seat belts updated, and who do you send them to? the manufacture of the belt or someplace else? any help would be apreciated
usually you send them back to the manufacturer for re-certification.
but some manufacturers wont do it. and there is a also a limit to how many times you can re-cert the harness... they basically rebuild the belt re-using the hardware. The process shouldnt take more than a day, but depending on how busy they are it could take longer.

Joe, the RCI Platinum have a 4 year SFI life on them, with a one time free inspection/recertification. They are only $69.99 for the 5/6 point setup. Not a bad price for something like that. Only thing is they are not the camlock style, they are more like the duckbill style that's all.

My Simpson's expired last month and I called them to get recertified. They said I had to cut the sfi tag off and sent it to them. They would then give me, I think 10% off my next purchase. Kinda weak.. I went ahead and got a stroud cam lock.

Does RCI recertify? my belt is dead too. If they don't i might go ahead and break pockets on a new one so my helmet, belt, and jacket can match.
send me your old belt....i can put it in my datsun on the passenger side.

I would assume you would send them back to the manufacturer but what do I know.
