Ok let me lay it down, I have a OBD1 conv. 2nd gen b16 in my 88 crx dx intake+exhaust, and I think its seriously so slow for what it is, I dont know why. I have an auto pr3 ecu, and it seems to lose fuel or just get slow from 2500-4k. heres a couple things ive ran

97 del sol sohcvtec i/h/e - win 1.5 cars
00 ek b16 i/h/e - head 2 head
02 mustang gt i/h/e loss 1 car
05 v6 mustand from 30 mph - win .5 cars

I mean the only things that get me really mad are that my buddies hondas keep up, and their not suppose to. I mean cmon a sohc del sol, and an ek w/ 350-400 lbs more than my rex, with only a header more than me. Why is my car so damn slow.

That auto pr3 is killing it! Convert it to manual and chip it. I'd link you to the info on pgmfi.org but it seems to be down at the moment.

BTW, you're not head to head with the 00 EK. Maybe when you get the right ECU, but ya gotta figure I have a lot of parts waiting to go into the EK. Its gonna be a back and forth game between you two.

its a back/forth game right now. I pull him and he pulls me, and its by so little. Id actually like to get a run and see how good I pull up him with equal mods

He's only got a header on you, and you have like 300-400lbs on him. That seems pretty equal to me. BTW are you buying Matts header?

 

I would agree your ECU is part of the problem.
Comp test never hurts either.

If you held with an 02 GT with bolt ons you are way faster then should be yet can't take out i/h/e Ds

Good call on the compression test!! I'll give it this, that little Del Sol of Jimmy's is a freak. I drove the car and that single slam gets up!! I mean if you punch the gas from a roll the freakin tires break loose and its go time.
