The Car: 1988 CRx HF(rescued from a tow yard)
The Motor: B18a1
The Story:
Last year I bought a totaled 90 Teg LS for parts. I needed the motor because my Daily Driver a 4dr LS was burning oil in 1 & 2 cuz the rings were done. We got an est. north of a Grand for the work. No way! I traded some 18's and $100 for it from a body shop that a freind of mine owns. We opted to just swap the motor ourselves. So we pulled the motor, brakes, axels, ecu... everything. Except for the harness it was jacked from the crash, with a Cady on switches, on the PS above the tire and motor mount "save"

I was on my way to pick up my youngest brother from school and some jAcKa$$ bunnystops from my left to go in front of me in the far right lane, but I saw him in time. I avoided him but hit an Acorrd... The Death of Mooshoo my beloved red 91 HB LSS 6 hrs later in a towyard in Commerce City, $500, "its a 88 crx it starts and it runs" later I on my way back to the old shop(we had to close the doors ) After we tear it apart we find its a HF so we dont have to rewire from dpfi to mpfi. 200k+ miles and the motor doesn't leak a drop! The body on the other hand:

We sanded it down to see all the damage it is just as bad on the other side
We had a 99 Civic EX Oem exhaust mani laying aroud from a turbo we installed. We put a GhettoPhab intake on it. No cat but it passed emissions "fast pass" before we did the mod:

it ran for a while and then the axles went out, changed them. 'And then...' the clutch went out. 'And then...'Paid a guy to change it, after he changed it he said "It looks like you need a new flywheel too, let me know when you want me to change that." 'And then...' the flywheel you guessed it From here on out I do my own work... Three times since I have had it people have broken into it, all stock ext w/ interior panels and no carpet, jacked up my ignition and broke the heater controls but never stole anything. As soon as I get my Tax $ the B18 that had bad ring is getting new rings, bearing, gasket, plugs, wires blablabla...you know the drill!

As far as the body goes we have our hands full, BUT we shall prevail over Oxidation(sp?). more pics and details to come, comments please.

I never cease to be amazed at how often CRX's get broken into, even when they look stock! WTF is up with that? It's not like it's an expensive car.
