Im going to be purchasing some ground controls soon. I dont know what rates to choose for the front and the rear. It is for a daily driver, and i might do some track events.

everyone would give you a lot of different responses. there are no exact or specific rates to go with. what's ideal for me might not be suited with what you do nor it is comfortable to your liking. don't fall into the hype of gettin the non-ots rates because everybody went custom. if you haven't had any previous seat time, i suggest you start off with some front biased rates and go from there.

 

i would consult the suspension forum for this.. but a lot of your choice will have to do with your driving style. i have heard people going with 400FR and 500RR.. this seems to be pretty common, but to me this would be used if your style of driving is to brake in a straight line and coast through a turn, where as a setup like 450FR and 400RR would be for someone that trail brakes into a corner.. this is just MAJOR generalizations BTW, but its just and idea. just make sure that you get some good dampers to go with your custom rates.

 

This is a difficult question to answer. As others have already said, it depends on a lot of factors. I started with ots rates, and am now running 400 front and rear. My car is a daily driver and the ride is firm, but not too bad. You should also consider what size rear sway bar you will run because this will affect how stiff you need to go in the rear to get your car to rotate.

 

I currently have 320F/250R and the ride is just right, not too firm, not too soft. But I would definitely want something like 400F/350R. This is for my daily driver and I am known for taking corners a little fast too

If you have a CX, then I believe you don't have front or rear sway bars. I would start by getting some. For a mild setup, go with civic si/integra sway bars with soft spring rates. If you get some bigger sway bars, you might want some 400 lbs.in. spring rates and up. But make sure you do some research before you buy anything, look at people's setups, opinions, prices, etc...
