weight reduction works the best when...

you can remove all
unecessary things as possable
to maximize gains and
effort

I dont think I'm going that radical, but I do plan on taking my rear seat out and all sound deadoning, lining in trunk..
Oh, by the way do yall run any car meets in north texas??
Party????
you could go with a carbon fiber hood and front fenders...but that's some $$ and it's not a whole lot of weight that you are saving...if you don't want to be safe you could take out the airbags but i don't recommend this...passenger seat and all the carpet...you could probably get rid of at least 100 pounds total after the seats and spare tire and stuff...but you probably still want to drive your car on the street i'm guessing too!...good luck!

Weight reduction ehh?
there's two kinds - unsrpung and uhh.. sprung?.. I guess we'll just call it 'other' kind. They've pretty much mentioned all of the interior stuff as far as trim peices go and the spare and jack and what not. Some other ideas though. Honda airboxes weigh a lot compared to say an aluminum AEM CAI. Or you could just simply remove the lower air box (it has a twisty pipe in it to quiet the intake). Titanium exhaust!! No really though... there's a hella large number of heat sheilds along and around the exhaust piping that are somewhat unnessacary - ditch those. If you have the dual (fake) exhaust - get rid of the other muffler. I know some one who took out his back seat and removed 70% of the metal in it - approxiamately 9 pounds of metal. Front seats weight a lot too... especially motorized ones... and leather too. Go for aftermarket seats. Power steering and A/C already mentioned. So was carbon fiber hood. Thats about all I got off the top of my head... except the power train.
Everything that spins on your car creates a load and rotational inertia that your motor needs to overcome. So if it spins get a lighter one.
Wheels - lightwieght wheels - Honda's wheels are not overly heavy but a set of VOLK's, Spoon's, or Mugen's would be the **** - but there's other cheaper options out there.
Lightweight pulleys (be careful not to confuse with underdrive pulley's) make sure you're getting what you want.
Rotors - many aftermarket rotors are lighter weight
Flywheel - fidanza, exedy or something like that - a big difference - makes your motor and car much more throttle responsive
Try that...

dude...i got it yo...seal off the trunk and somehow figure out a way to inject helium into the trunk...it's lighter than air and that could create less weight...you should give it a try!
