Some questions about OIL....
Ok, I got my non-navi NBP Si 2 days ago. Drove it about 200 miles so far. Last night I decided to take a peek under the hood and whatnot. I checked my oil, and I didn't notice anything on the dipstick. There was a tiny bit of clear liquid in the bottom hole, but it didn't look right to me. The car had been sitting overnight, but shouldnt there still be something visible on the dipstick?
So, should I worry? I am going to investigate further tonight. It was kind of dark out when I checked so there could have been oil but if there was it was very thin.
If in fact there is no oil, I should probably return it to the dealer. Would it burm that much oil in 200 miles? I've been easy on it, only taking it into vtec 3-4 times.
What kind of oil should I be putting in the car? I heard there was special oil from the factory for the break in period.
I'm a little nervous at this point...

Hello,
from my experience so far with the breakin oil I can tell you this: It's very annoying to check your oil with the breakin oil. It's very clear, and hard to see. For the first little while I had a very hard time checking my oil. (Btw, after driving just let the car sit for 5-15 mins before checking your oil.)
If you drive your car pretty spiritdly, you'll probably burn a bit of oil during break in. Just add a quart or whatever when you reach 2000-3000 miles, before you change it.

Yea you're right. It is very clear. i didn't have much light when I checked it last night, but I just checked it now and it's fine. Just really really clear.
Thanks

i ahd a hard time seeing the line when I changed mine. I took a little while to get some color on the stick.
Be sure to check your oil at 1500 miles. I had to add a quart. K-series are prone to eating oil in the beginning.
