Rate my welds....building my exhaust (2.5" mild steel 14ga)
i'm more or less looking for pointers at this point.....i think i'm doing it right, but i've only learned welding from 1 person....my opinions on welding are very limited so i'm looking for help or advice....

well rather than quoting and re-quoting people over and over again, can someone give me a few pointers on what i'm doing right and what i'm doing wrong.....next time i will take some pics before i grind......

It is hard to give any pointers when there isn't anything we can really see. You can grind almost any weld down to make it look like that. But from the pictures, everything seems to be ok. Just get some pics of welds that aren't ground down.

It is hard to tell but on some thin tube depending on how they looked b4 hand I never like to grind the welds down , just do to the fact that you are kinda making it weeker and more chance for it to crack , But you might be fine depending on how much your weld whent in to the tube,
