Default d61a6 basically same as d61a1

i currently have a 91 crx si with a d16a6 engine and am buying a motor from an integra that is a d16a1, are these motors basically the same? im basically just using the d16a6 engine for spare parts. i may have the engine code wrong but thats as close as i remember i know the crx engine ends in 6 and the integra ends in a 1.

thanks
stephen

The D16A6 is SOHC, and the D16A1 is the DOHC engine from the 1986-1989 Integra. The two engines are actually quite different. And a D16A1 will not bolt into a 1991 CRX without alot of work.

Pretty much, there's not much on the motor, if anything, that is interchangeable
