Just find a stock intake, put it in, and take a picture of it.

Actually you guys are wrong, you need to put a stock intake on it, (or AEM. As long as it has C.A.R.B. numbers on it, you're good to go.) take it to a local police station or find a stopped on duty officer to visually inspect YOUR car. They in-turn will sign off your ticket, or your docket paperwork you receive from the court in the mail. I had to do this with my gs-r when it had tint and modified exhaust. That's how it works in cali buddy..

well yesterday about 30-40 cars got raded at a meet up/street race in riverside....******* po's cornered all of us...there was at least 20 po's...but they popped all of our hoods....so i have to go to a state ref to get my ticket signed off....plus i have to appear in court...and the ticket says i dont need a officer sign off...i need a state ref sign off...so what do i do first??? will have to pay anything...

*dum thing is we didn't even street race...everybody was chilling talking to each other...and then boom....got raded...

call em for appointment. number on the sticker on back of you ticket.
how long it takes is up to you, the date time etc there pretty flexible with the scheduled, if you don't like the date they set for you, tell em' you want another time.. once you are there it usually takes one to two hours, all the crap inspection, which i think is unessary. depending what your violation is, they might have you do smog test which will cost you $35 bucks plus price of certificate. If you got it for loud exhuast, they'll do a sound test which is free. I recommend you put as many legal or oem parts in to car as possible. no vetec controller, no any of that boost stuff. they will have you reschedule or cancel your appointment. the smog test is alot strict than a regular smog check. make sure everthin, like o2 is in working order, because it becomes frustrating if you fail the smog test, and you have schedule agian and agian until you pass.

this is why i hardly go to meets. if you drive an import, you're automatically classified a street racer. i do not give a **** what anybody on this board says... they never been profiled... i'm 24 and i've been through countless citations that weren't legitimately written just because i drove a ricey car before.

you're lucky you didn't get cited for participation in a street race. police officers can fabricate any crap they want...

i do not hate cops... there are plenty officers who REALLY protect and serve the public from REAL criminal acts other than a clear corner or your car is too low kinda thing. anyhow, take care of it and call it a day.

i agree...but the dum thing is we weren't even street racing...all the cops said was we were loitering and trespassing...but they didn't even give us a ticket for that...my ticket just says MODIFIED EMISSIONS, they just rounded all of us up and told each car to pop there hoods...

Hmmm... I went through emmissions in November here in CT and I had a Intake, Header and Exhaust, they gave me no beef. I would say either go to a Midas or something and have them do it rather than the DMV if thats the case. I also have a stock airbox for 96-00 EX. Good luck with that.

Damn. that blows Ive been pulled over a couple times out here in sanjose and every cop has said something about my exhaust and my limo tint but they never say anything about the boost gauge or turbo timer or boost controller that are pretty obvious in my car.
crazy too cuz my car definitely aint street legal and not even registered in CALI yet AND they havnt wrote me a ticket for any mods. A cop even let me go after he pulled me over for speeding!!! << I think its cuz my car is sleeper.

I got a ticket like your 4 month ago and I had to take it to the Ref. The cop pull me over in north cal and he didn't know much about import so I only got a ticket for intake and exhaust . I was just going to pay the fine but when my ticket fine came to my house it was 365 dallors for modified intake and exhaust for 99 dallor so I went to the Ref to sign it off. They will smog your car and **** like that just make sure all your modified stuff have CARB number that match the engine because the Ref will check it in there computer to see if the after market part is make for you engine .

Good luck .

this is why i will never move to cali. and texas is supposed to be going more towards cali's emissions regulations etc etc. if it gets to that point, then i'll just move somewhere else. expletive all that extra bull ****.
