okay, i dont whats goin on with my motor. LS/Vtec in my ek hatch. i was on the freeway passing cars and decided to go in 3rd and once i reached 6k rpm's my shuts down or stalled. pulled over to the side and try restarting the car, and the car turns over and over and over. car will not start. got towed home and replaced rotor and cap. rotor was replaced but the cap didnt fit because https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1604778 cap does not line up to screw in on the dizzy. but replaced the rotor, next i turned on the car and she fired up, shut off and fired up again! now i test drove it on the road good so far but just normal driving, back on to the driveway and decided to rev it up 8k redline but reached to 6k and car killed. turns over and over and over.

now what could this be, whats the problem, bad ignition system? i dont know i just know the basics! please help, thank you!

 

well guess what it's non of the civic caps, just went to honda, must be integ's cap, and the cap i have now has #m166282 and most civic 92-00 has #m16680! well off too acura parts!

replace the whole distributer! and yes that includes the cap, i had this problem before on my b16 si
