Default Very weird idle surge problem...

Ever since I swapped my B18c1 into my sol, the idle had surged. Ended up replacing the IACV, seemed to help a little. Took off the FITV, cleaned it out, turned the little white t-stat in clockwise so it was tight and it was extremley loose. Then my idle dropped from 4k when i started it up to 2k when i start it up. It takes forever for the idle to drop down from 2k and when it does it drops to 1.5k when it's warm. Here is the weird part. I'll drive the car and get stopped at a light. Once I stop the idle will start surging, I'll press in the clutch, put the car into gear and then slowly let up on the clutch while my rpms drop and slip the tranny back into neutral and the idle will go to 1k and stop surging....any ideas what the hell is going on? I have tested the TPS had all the correct voltages with the pedal pressed to the floor and with no throttle.

that should help the troubleshooting, but mine somewhat does the same thing.. the inconsistant idling and i have a vacuum leak, throttlebody gasket

my guess would be either water pocket, or the idle settings in the chip. it took me a while today to get my idle settings right w/ the chip, its not something you can just set and it will be good. if honda set the TB up to idle at 850rpm and the chip is tuned to idle at 750rpm its gonna surge, theres a bunch of reasons this happens, but you covered most already. also you need to check for vacuum leaks.
