Default zc swap feels like a go cart

Ok, just got an 89 hatch that already had a zc swap but the people who did the swap could not get it to start. fixed all there shitty wiring with the ecu, were using an si computer from a crx. also had to fix there shitty radiator settup and crappy distributor. finally the car starts when we take it for a drive there is no low end power. I put my foot in the gas and the car accelerates so slow. it totaly feels like a go cart taking off. any suggestions.

im probably an idiot for saying this, but maybe your previous car was more powerful, and you over estimated the zc.

no codes are being thrown, yes my last car 92 gsr was more powerfull but im not exagerating that this thing feels like a go cart, the damn stock dx engine moves quicker than this, yes i did add a resistor box from 91 crx si, i changed the ignitor, coil, cap and rotor, new spark pulgs and plug wires as well.

HEY!! Wrong ECU buddy. The Si was a single overhead cam. ZC is dual... You will need an Integra ECU from earlier models when it was a 1.6 It will make a big difference

yeah my bro has a ZC swap in his 89 and he has had simular problems when he first had it. But yeah you need the right ecu and dizzy to make sure that its the correct OBD. Also you might need to wire the injectors up differently, He just hardwired them into his old wireing harness from his d15. Also once you get the right dizzy n such MAKE SURE to get your timing and ignition timing right, or else your goin to be nockin like a mother ******, and throwin flames...... Good Luck

you can use the crx/civic si ecu on the dohc zc motors without a problem. you have a wiring issue. and for those who will try to correct me go visit thezcr.com and do some research. some are using the ls ecu since it has a more agressive fuel curve and some are using a si ecu.

Yeah dude, something is definitely up with your wiring. I've got a DOHC ZC in my CRX DX and it's definitely faster than stock. Even with just a PM6. And as far as low end goes, I think it has plenty of power for a 4 cyl. I've even had comments about how it seems to have a lot of tourqe (again, for a 4 cyl).

PM6 works fine, dont listen to them. Check your wiring on your plug wires (distributer to plugs) - Mine were wrong and I was running on 2 cylinders.
