d16z6 in my 91 crx
well i want to get a d16z6 out of a 92-95 ex but i was just wondering do i have to go obd1 or can i stay obd0 i searched but didnt realy find wat i wanted to find and if i can stay obd0 wat all do i have to do thnx ahead of time
You can stay obd0 but its not a very good way to do so when your doing it do it right and go obd1 or you'll wind up just doing it later.

you can keep it obd0 but then you need to run a window swtich for vtec and your ecu will not be the proper one for the motor so it will never run at full potential. its like $130 from rywire,com for a full OBD1 conversion and aanother $100 for a p28 ecu. its like $70 for an msd window switch. just spend the extra cash and do it right. youll be much happier with the end results.
you can stay obd0 and run a chipped ecu setup with the proper fuel and timing maps,,and can also control vtec in a nonvtec ecu using turboedit..
its better to convert to obd1 though since your in cali,,to keep it legal,,and obd1 is better anyway..Go to rywire for the wiring or you can attempt yourself http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...-OBD1
