help identifying ef trannys

help identifying ef trannys
searched but didn't find much
how can i identify an ef tranny
from what i know all usdm trannys were L3
then i saw a hatch in the junkyard with a sohc zc motor and a transmission that said SL3 and the sticker was on the chassis side
i know its not the dohc zc trans cuz there is no intermeddiate shaft
my us L3 has the sticker on the edge of the trans opposite the zc stamp on my block
so basically, is the SL3 the sohc zc trans?
