Hatch and or trunk area.
Using a good box is a must
Pretty simple to do and looks nice I'm sure a search will net you a good write up or two.

You don't have to actually take it out of the bay, buy a smaller battery and lay it sideways or slide it down under the tray

Move it to the trunk, remove your spare tire, and put your battery there. I helps if you have a sealed battery like the optima battery, that way you can lay it on it's side.

I've never seen them in a store, you could probably try a motorcycle supply or marine supply store. Its easier to just order them.

You can probably special order them through autzone. Not 100% sure but I would think so.

batteries are expensive , but either way its going to cost around the same price to either get a smaller battery or re route it to the back. for me, it was about $100 total for the intake piping, filter, battery box, wires, and the nodes that go on the battery terminals. if you put it in the back, a great spot for a ground is the spare tire spot where the bolt goes to hold the tire down, just sand the paint off and bolt a ground wire to it.

here's a suggestion simply turn your battery 180 degrees and make the power cable, gound and wire to fuse box longer . Workers perfect

summit makes an ok relocation kit... the only thing i dont like is the box... its really big...

and put it near the rear passenger wheel in the trunk, this will help out the car's weight distribution a bit...

and make sure you get a sealed battery, unless you want to kill yourself...

I relocated my Hawker battery into the rear storage compartment. Used a Stereo Amp Power kit (4 Gauge) to wire the battery up. No need for a box since the battery is a gel-sealed. I lay it down on it's side in the compartment.

Not where I got my battery but quick find for information: http://www.fmracing.com/prod012.html

There is a company that makes a kit that places the battery right behind the front bumper, where the stock air box is at. all you have to do is just extend your wires, and mount the tray.
