Default Free $100!!! Look inside..

alright guys i have $100 to anyone who can help me fix my problem im havin with my 2000 Si i have been workin and workin and WORKIN with this thing and i cant figure out what the deal is...if anyone can help me figure this out or point out my problem and it FIXES it..you get $100 which i will send through paypal..ok on to the problem....ok my car is converted to obd1 has dc header, aem intake, full 2.5 exhaust with a guted cat.

no internal mods what so ever only bolt ons..the car hits vtec like it doesnt have it..my exhaust is really deep UNTIL i hit vtec... when vtec enageges the intake gets REALLLLLLY loud and the exhaust will go quiet all u can hear is the intake and thats standin outside of the car as it goes down the road...and sometimes when im goin down the road just crusin bout 3k for acouple miles stop and take off about half throttle vtec will engage 1k rpm's too early but will engage hard.

BUT u can only hear the exhaust pop from engagement and no intake and when u get to like 6k it'll make this wierd sound from the intake and go back to the shitty style and intake go loud and exhaust so back to nothen...i have chaged the fuel filter, checked the dizzy timing, put a bigger fuel pump on, spark plugs, cap and rotor button, AND gutted the cat thinkin it was clogged..and this all was goin on b4 i converted to obd1...please no smart *** comments or stupid sayin that will take up this thread..i have done EVERYTHING and i cant seem to get to whats wrong with it...

What ecu are you running? Also, have you hooked up a test light on the vtec wire from the ecu to see when it is engaging under different circumstances?

send the money to dhicks@homexpressway.net ........ you dont have a problem, you have cheap exhaust, when the turbulence gets high enough it makes the buzz (from the exhaust) once vtec engages it quits and you hear normal exhaust and intake. ok, dont send any money, but i dont see a problem here, sounds like you dont have a resonator in your exhaust.

Try hooking up a light to see if vtec is engaging irregularly. Oil pressure and level good?

Your clutch could be slipping.

He said the issue was there before the ecu swap. There's nothing wrong with converting to obd1. I did it from obd0 and the car runs like a champ...

It will solve it for sure

p28 and p30 maps are not that different. I doubt it would just be the ecu. There's nothing on the ecu that's like oh yeah, I'll only run one camshaft today. And that doesn't make sense anyway considering he said the problem was there before the ecu swap.

I know its not that diffence but then again ecu controls the vtec timing and engagement fuel delivery

Don't think they'll cover it because of the aftermarket it parts like that

YOu can't just go to honda and be like "my apexi exhaust is making a weird sound"

my $0.02, you're a tooth or two off on the camshafts OR your TPS is off. A distributor problem will behave like this also ut will more than likely set a CEL. (your CEL is off right?)

or you could just run a P30 instead like honda intended if you're really trying to see if thats the problem? common sense

SVOboy is right though, his problem most likely isn't even his ecu. Though, P75 maps probably aren't all that different compared to P30 maps either.
