Default Little Drag help please

Well I went to the track for the 1st time saturday night (8th mile only) I ran a best of 9.807 with a 2.492 60' and a trap speed of 76.65mph. I noticed that many people their who had a simular trap speed were atleast 1/2 a second faster then me. Does my launch seem really bad (I have a stock HF suspension, stock 13" steelies and somewhat blad tires) with sticky tires and struts and springs anyone know what times I would be around. Oh also I have a ZC Turbo Non-intercooled, so thats why I'm pissed at my times.

Get those 60 ft times down and your ets will come down. I know that the first time I went to the track with my b16 and I was pissed because I would just spin like crazy until mid 2nd gear. Once I got some nice sticky tires, my 60 fts and my ets dropped. Good Luck

That wouldn't be a factor. R/T doesn't play in to the overall time. The clock starts when you leave the line.

Anyway, if you can get the 60 foot time down just slightly, you'll get much better times. It looks like the power is there and the speed is good considering the 60' time.

Yes, get that 60 ft. time down. 2.4 is pretty high. I achieve a 2.284 with a near stock d16a6. Also, what RPM are you launching at? you're probably launching too high, and just spinning, especially with those bald tires. try launching at 2500-3000 rpm and feather the clutch - see what happens.

When you feather the clutch, you don't dump the clutch off the line, you just let it out lightly until the tires hook, then floor it.
