obd2a engine harness on obd2b motor, will it be ok?

obd2a engine harness on obd2b motor, will it be ok?
I have a 96 civic ex coupe. I just swapped in a b16a2 which is obd2b. I bought the obd2a to obd2b jumper harness. Now my question is will the engine harness from my d16y8 plug onto my b16a2. ? Will i need to modify my ex harness in any way? What will have to be done?

you MAY have to extent some wires but you will use the harness that came with the car and i also recommend an obd2a to obd1 ecu jumper harness and a chipped p28 ecu

im begining the harness swap today, and by the look of things, ill have to extend the vtec wires and the primary o2 sensor. Im staying obd2 so i bought the obd2a to obd2b conversion harness, you guys know how cali is..But after i get it ref, i will most likely convert to obd1.
