my red ef hatch started to rust itself to pieces, so i picked up another one pretty rust free for a few hundred bucks. over my break week from work i decided to swap the motors and interiors as well, cus im not a big fan of the blue the new one came with.

old hatch minus an interior.

motor in the old hatch. 94 d16z6.

big pile of interior parts in my garage, with my lsvtec turbo coupe sitting in the background with a blown turbo
.

the new hatch. 1/4's are rust free, just a tiny bit starting on the bottom of the rockers, not bad for an ef in the northeast.

d15 out of the hatch. motor ran ok, but had 200k. it also came with a 5spd, much better than the 4spd i had. even tho the motor was a 90, the trans was an 88 so i had to swap to the smaller clutch and flywheel. pissed me off

interior swap 1/2 done. the black/grey looks so much better than the 2 tone blue imo.
i still have the dash's to swap, but the motor is in and running. i am however having issues with the iac making funny noises when plugged in, so i have it disconnected. also, the car doesnt have heat. the blower works and the adjustment **** is opening and closing the valve thing in the engine bay to let coolant to the heatercore...any ideas on this one???
overall it took me longer than expected, but i cant wait to be done. gas is up to 3.10 a gallon for 87 octane and my other car needs 93. the 40mpg this will get is gonna be awesome
