Roll cages for the EG civic hatchback. Where to get a cage Fabricated????
Ever since I got my 92 Civic hatch CX I've been pretty worried to drive the car.
Reason being, it's such a small car, low to the ground, and by looking at it if there was a high impact side colision it could be fatal to the driver.
So, I have been looking around to see if anyone makes pre- fabbed roll cages for the cars... I found Autopower Industries, and there cages look nice and seem like they would offer good reinforced side protection, and front and rear protection for the driver.
I have looked for places that could fabricate a custom roll cage for it, but, no luck..
So, my questions for you guys are.. Are there any other companies besides Autopower that make pre-fabbed roll cages for the civics? Do any of you have a roll cage in your civic, and if so, did you buy it pre fabbed, or did someone fab it for you, and who did the work? Also, any info on places that fab roll cages would be great.
I'm in Maryland also, so... places near maryland or the surrounding states would be appreciated.

s&w race cars make cages for 92-95 hatchbacks. they are located in spring city,pa thats next to philly. http://www.swracecars.com/index.asp i bought one of them for my civic and it was nice.
i dunno, i guess if your not tracking the car or driving like a jackass on the street i dont see much use for one..
The plans with the car are to turn it into a complete project. Put lots of time, effort, and money into it. Definately run it at the track constantly, and modify it to it's full potential.
It's not a fear of me driving like a maniac on the street, because I drive completely safely 100% of the time. It's fear of other people out there who can't drive.... Lol.
Gunna need one for the track eventually anyway since you can only go so fast until you need one.

I know of one company in Manchester,MD in Carroll County. HFR Fabrication. Look at Boostedjeff's EK hatch and JDMDan's DC2. Both of these guys had their cages done there and they look good. Ive never acutally been to their shop but Ive heard good things.
