Default replaced timing belt and water pump tonight...

Holy crap that was a PITA!!! Why did Honda need to put that crankshaft pulley bolt on with 200 ft/lbs of torque?? I broke a Craftsman socket (it split down the side!) and a Craftsman 3/8" ratchet (the gears stripped) trying to get that stupid thing off.

What a complete pain in the rear end!!!

Tell me you didn't attempt to use a 3/8" drive ratchet to remove that bolt.

1/2" breaker bar with a 2-3 ft. extension pipe is the way to go.

I broke one of my nice wratcheting wrenches trying to get the bolt that holds the cat to the back part of teh exhaust on, they took it back no questions asked. I used a floor jack, and the wrench broke before the bolt came off.

You can do the same with the crank pully. Get an extension and a floor jack and let the jack do the work
