NEED PEOPLE WITH AFTERMARKET SPRINGS!!! need help ...
i need people with 5th gen and aftermarket springs to take some measuremetns for me .. i am doing a study on suspension geometry and i need to know what height does the springs drop you to ..
so i need to know height in front and rear
you can take the measurement in between the tire and the edge of the fenders..try to be as prceise as possible..
you have to have the stock wheels and tires ( or same size ) to do this please
if you have aftermarket wheels please measure from center hub ( center of the wheel) to the fender same place ..
my car is now at 5.5" drop in front and 5" drop in the back
hahaah ..it's resting on the bump stops of the stock shocks
no springs .. so i'll need the numbers quick so i can finish this soon and put all back together
thanks

i took a picture.. i'll scan it when it'll be developped
i checked with the catalyser..and i only have half a inch of clearance
ahgahahah
but that's with no spring..it's not possible with normal shocks to ride that low ..
though it would be possible wiht really stiff springs and shorter shocks and remove of the cat

Hey JinMTVT, you took the stock springs off your car? Can you tell me if the front or rears are progressive? They look linear on the car, but I want to know for sure. Thanks
thye look to be both progressive to me
the springs are exactly the same size..
3" at top and 2.5" at bottoms..
they are both 9" in length but the front coil diameter is a bit larger and there are 2-3 more coils in the front
so the front is a little stiffer
spring rates are : F 200lb/" R 170lbs/"
they seem to be progressive a little though as the coils get narrower and less spaced at the bottom of both front and rear springs ..
