What do I need to fit a b20 into a 91'si???
I have bought a shell, and am doing some research on the block differences.
I know that I will need a diff intake manifold (ls, gsr, itr, etc..) and also a diff exhaust manifold.
What other parts(axles, etc..) am I going to need and also what ecu should I be using.
Also how difficult is it going to be to find a cable trans. in the dc metro area to use for this??
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks.

try posting this in the EF 4th gen civic forum.
but i'll give it a wack.
you'll need engine mounts from HCP or HASports and their shift linkage (or custom make your own).
axles will depend on what transmission you end up using but i believe that the axles and intermediate shaft from the 92-93 Integra GSR are whats most commonly used.
cable transmission arent too hard to find. just do some research as to which one you think would best suite your needs and then keep an eye out for it in the classifieds or call around to your local auto recyclers.
any exhaust manifold for any b18 series engine should suffice.
wiring will be the most difficult part of the project. you can either buy a obd0-obd1 harness that plugs into your existing harness and run a obd1 ecu and use the appropriate obd1 parts on the engine or if your good at it you can wire it obd 2 but you'll be doing all the splicing yourself.

check out this page. Here is a good list of a basic build up for your Shell. This setup can possibly get you into the 12's with a B20/vtec.
email me if you have any questions

ok. you sure you want to know what you need to drop a b20 into a '91 si?
i'm just gonna break it down. this is the most accurate breakdown of parts i know of. yer lucky cuz its mad late and im mad bored. the reason why it's accurate is because i was going to do this swap into my '91 crx si.
here are the parts you'll need:
DA Integra (90-93):
Driver Side Engine Mount Bracket
Rear Transmission Mount Bracket
Throttle Cable
Alternator
Upper Radiator Hose
Lower Radiator Hose
Driver Side Axle
Passenger Side Axle
Alternator Belt
PR4 ECU (OBD0)
Starter
Intermediate Shaft
DC Integra (94-00):
Flywheel
Exhaust Manifold
Flywheel Bolts (94-00) (if b20 is from an auto and has a driveplate)
B18C5 Waterpump (if goin b20vtec if not b20 pump)
B18C/5 Timing belt (if goin b20vtec and have head if not jus throw a b20 belt on)
B18B Intake Manifold
B18B Intake Manifold Gasket
B18B Throttle Body Gasket
B20Z2 (99-00):
Long Block
Tensioner pulley
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
B16A (88-91):
S1/Y1/J1 Transmission (if going for b20/vtec - hey i have a jdm s1 for sale!)
Aftermarket cable b-series b16a clutch (cm stage 4 for sale too!)
MISC:
HCP Mounts/Shift Linkage
CAI Intake
this is pretty much a complete list. i mighta missed a couple things. its late. anyway it gets expensive rather quickly. unofrtunately with b18b/b20's you kind of have to piece it all together instead of goin w/a swap. i like this method because u can hand pick your parts.

im going with the same setup, it will be going into my 88 si. I see your in the dc metro area? what part, im in va falls church. When are you thinking of getting the motor, I was thinking sometime within a month maybe you can go in on it w me so we can get a discount or free shipping. (noyan in manassas/hondamotorsonline).
I still need many parts, so far i got the mounts, shft linkg, axles and should be getting the ls tranny this week. Email me POMIR99@aol.com

you should be able to stick with the stock '91 si radiator. i dont think there will be clearance issues but i never did the swap.
I am concerned about the radiator not providing the kind of coolant a motor with .4 more liters of displacement is going to need.
a friend of mine put a b18a into his 98 dx and it always ran hot

Im in Arlington. I need a b20 from HMO as well. I need to do this VERY soon, like within a couple weeks otherwise im shipping it off to Buffalo NY
are all those parts listed above for a b20 vtec into a hatch?? what if i just want to drop in the b20 into a hatch without no vtec conversion. will it be a hard swap???
