Default civic backfired and died now won't start, help anyone?

The other day I got a new section put in my exhaust. I was leaving DL Performance got into 2nd gear and hit 6000 rpms wanting to hear the exhaust when my engine backfired and died. Now it won't start. Its a sohc zc. I just put in a reman distributor and reman alternator. When I try to start the zc it doesn't do anything except backfire a little and nothing else. I have had problems with the fuse box in the engine bay in the past burning out on me. It could be that as my ecu is throwing a code 20 again which came on before when the fuse box went out. Any other ideas before I buy another used fuse box. The wiring in my car is shitty from the previous owner who did the dpfi to mpfi conversion and I think that is why it keeps blowing the fuse box. Anyone got any ideas or comments?

You'd probably want to check that wiring before blowing another perfectly good fuse box. Fix the problem.

yeah, i am trying to buy a black si hatch with no title from this guy but he never gets back to me.I want to swap out the entire harness, but need to figure out what is wrong with it for now as my other transportation is on the brink of death(a 88 dodge aries 3 spd, ouch!). any other ideas besides the fuse box? anyone got a spare fuse box that is located on the passenger side shock tower they could sell me for cheap? Anyone swapped an entire wiring harness over? It seems like a lengthy project. Doesn't seem really hard just tedious and time consuming
