Default running rich

i installed an msd on my dohc zc in my crx. i am running the zc ecu. the problem is that i am running rich. i have the ss blaster coil the cap and plugs from msd. i am still running stock injectors. msd said to gap 5 mm over stock but it runs rich. do i need to go back to stock gap or does anyone know the best gap for zc with an msd? also i am not running the msd box if that might be a problem. please help, driving me nuts.

check your spark plugs make sure the gap is good on them then double check see if everything that came with the kit is right

that sounds like an awful lot stock gap should be fine... i would take out that msd ignition , put the stock ignition system back on and sell it... biggest waste of money on these cars and nothing but problems comes from them

I'm glad you said this I was beginning to think I was going crazy. Aftermarket ignitions are great on cars that originally had ancient systems but the honda system actually works pretty well.

If it isn't broke don't fix it.
