Anything under $300, depends on mileage, wear, and how complete the block is(sensors, pumps, etc...)

for the 300, i think hes just talking about the block itself with no internals. if not i dont know how the hell he would manage a ls for 150

Nope, complete Ls(b18a) for $150, came with a friends crx, and he had no need for it. Plus, if you look on ebay, they don't sell for much, and are usually complete, i've yet to see a stock/complete b16 long block/Ls long block go for more than $300 on ebay

Moral of the story: it gets cheaper the more time you are willing to spend shopping for it.

yes it may be cheaper, but shipping will still kill you and i wouldnt buy a motor from ebay, especially not a car, ive heard too many stories of it going bad and it just scares me that some people lose thousands from scammers on ebay and ****. id rather just pay a reasonal price for it from where i know ill actually get what i bought.

$500-$600 for a complete longblock with both manifolds is about the normal right now from engine retailers..How they still manage to get that much for a 18 year old engine is beyond me..

Private sellers price will vary,,but I bought my complete swap from a private seller with a free crx si shell for $650 cash..

My bad, I miss spoke, I was giving the price for a short block(complete block). Sorry about that, and yes shipping will kill you for a engine $300-$500 for shipping depending on where the engine is coming from in the US.

ah 500-600 for the LONGBLOCK, does that include like the axles, mounts and **** which is what hmotors offers but only its like $1200? for the b16

cuz hell, if i could get my hands on a complete b16 motor with both manifolds, sensors, hoses, tranny and all that bs for $500-600 then holy ***** im in

dont get why the ls motors go for so cheap though? you have to do the same **** with the ls as you do for a b16 to get it running in a ef right? like the custom mounts, shift linkage, axles, wiring and all that bs? if thats so then why is the ls LONGBLOCK go for so god damn cheap? i mean **** its one of the most torquiest motors for a honda, it just doesnt have vtec.
