did some research already on my steering rack but....
k so like i said i did the research on how to remove and replace the steering rack and i got it all down just till i have to go underneith the damn steering wheel. i know that theres two bolts on each side where the steering rack is on the fram, then the one bolt on each side where the wheel is but just dont know where the other bolts are inside the car. please help.
so this morning i was driving to work till i hit a damn big pot hole on the ground then made my lower control arm detach from my suspension then made my damn tire rotate then came off. i almost hit a parked pt crusier and almost hit the curb. the reason for this is cause when i hit the pot hole my caslte nut came off. so now i have to get new nuts and rethread my studs.
damn i have no ******* money for that stuff. damn im screwed. um but cant i just take out the studs from the lower arm and the tie end rod and rethread them? cause those are stripped and i just need new castle nuts and cutter pins to go with them cause when i crashed they got lost. well thanks for the help, more will be great.

the reason the threads aren't there anymore is likely that the strength and integrity of the threads have been comprimised in the first place. Rethreaded isn't going to be safe.
You need new lower balljoints, and new tie-rod ends. Who know what else was stressed when your wheel came off because of this.

i just got a new steering rack well not new but probaly in better shape then the one that i have. thats with the tie end rods to. i just need to get new lower ball joints with the stud, new castle nuts, and cutter pins. ya now that you just said that rethreading it might be not safe so...huh.
Did you get a used rack or a rebuilt new rack? Usually rebuilt racks come with new inner tie-rods.
If you bought a used rack, I suggest that you replace the inner rods, the boots, and the outter rod ends with all new stuff rather than using the old stuff and then discovering later that something needs replacement once its all installed.

yup its used and i should get it rebuild. thanks for the info. i just dont have money. huh prom sucks. its costing me $200 for everything and my girl isnt paying ****. ha sucks. how much is it to rebuild a steering rack you think. i need to know that. i also need to get ne lower ball joints well the cv boot and my stud i think. that **** blew. i also need to bleed my brakes and new pads also. damn i have a project ahead of me.
That's a lot of work to do. If you don't have the Helms factory manual, then I suggest you don't bother doing it yourself. That book tells you exactly how to do everything, and it is the only way to work on your car. It should be the 1st $70 you spend on your car...
As for parts prices, you can look on these two websites:

well i was going to put it all together. i think im ganna take it to a nerby honda shop. im going to see how much they charge for wat i need and then if its to much ill do it my self. o and that website said that they dont have the manual that i need.
What manual are you looking for? Usually the books are "print to order" as they don't keep them in stock. I've ordered like this before, and they still come within a week or so.
Make sure you search using a 4 digit vehicle year (ie: 1989). A two digit year returns a "no items found" result...

thats the car im talking about. and im really going to get that manual. the one that gives repairs/service. o and last night my friend and i fixed one of the problem. we were planning to replace the whole control arm but i guess that lower ball joint stud spins on all of them. so we kept the one that came with the car and i just bought new castle nuts, and cotter pins. the last problem is to turn my rotors for the new pads i got and order a new steering rack from honda. the steering rack im not going to get till september. i need to take the car to a shop to get rid of the check lights. ill try to post up some pictures of the suspension.
well now there isnt no use of me buying that book cause im selling my car to the junkyard. i gave up on this project. and my job. huh. to much stress on me and i crashed it tonight also again.
ya thanks man. all the help was great. haha. the junkyard wants the car for 175 with everything that makes the car a car i guess. but the car is worth at least 300 more. so i guess ill sell the motor to my friend and have him give me his that dosnt run. for about 150. man i lost so much profit. thats life i guess. im looking at it right now haha. second car down. 20,00000 more to go haha. ill let you guess know wats up tho. thansk.
How bad is it? Most people part them out on eGay and make some decent money. Kinda a pain in the @$$ though since you have to ship every part separatly. Usually you get can get some good money out of it...
Was the interior in good shape?
