how can i tell if my a/c evaporator is bad?

Only 3 things can go wrong with it.

1. leak
2. clogged
3. fucked up fins/clogged with crap or debris

either put dye in the system and look for a leak or get a sniffer/leak detector and it will sense if there is r-134a leaking from an area.
