Help! HID Projector won't fit in 98 Civic
I'm working on a TSX retrofit into a 1998 Honda Civic. I'm using a Sonar projector housing I got off ebay. I was about to put it in when I realized that there is a metal bar behind the headlight assembly which is in the way of the projector.

So my question is, if I cut this off will it affect the collision performance in the event of an accident? The only way that I think it will is if it's designed to stiffen the radiator support at the each end. If that's the case, can I cut the bar then send it to a shop and have them weld another piece farther back to replace it so that there's room for the projector?[/url]
