Accord V6 w/ Manual Tranny?
yeah its been done, atleast 1 guy on accordv6.com did it. It had a problem engaging vtec because the ecu always thought it was in park. I dont know if that ever got fixed. Dustin would probably be able to answer your question.
i don't know much about this...but just curious...would an nsx ecu work? it's a v6 but it's a 3.2 litre not a 3.0....maybe another one of acura's v6 ecu's would work...but again i don't know!
The new 3.2CL type-S has a 6-speed manual, so just use it's ecu and tranny (maybe the engine if you want), and it should fit right in with little problem.
The tranny that was used before the CL Type S 6 speed was the 5 speed out of the old acura legends. It requires a whole lot of custom fabrication including tranny mounts and axels. The VTEC problem has been fixed but the guys on http://www.accordv6.com are very hush hush about how they went about doing it. I think it cost the guy who did it like 6000 or so bucks to get it done and he did some of it himself. If I were you leave it auto and level 10 the transmission and the car will be quicker than it is now for less money.
