Hehe OT but just curious of what kinda rims sizes and what brand are on you guyz teggy? Mine is 17" Tenzo AV 7 Wish I can afford the damn TE 37 but thats too crazy for spending too much money on just rims.
Extra money on mods
Also which size you guyz prefer?? I'm sure most of you will say 16" huh? for racing?

I love them. To me 16" is the right mixture of function, with just enough fashion. IMHO, 17" is pushing it, with 18" being to damn big!

Very nice all....Crap is 17" really pushing it?? I see many 17" here. Kinda making me want to sell my 17" and buy 16"
15" would be way too small for my taste 18" way too big
darn...Anyways nice rims all keep this post goin if ya want. I thought 17" would be best guess its not everyone taste. 17" loses performance?? Thanks for the help guyz.

16" Gunmetal Rota Slipstreams.....sorry for the big pic, but I got a new digi cam and I just figured out how to use it.

EDIT: Yah yah, I got an ugly front end. I have a 98+ one coming in a couple of days.

You need to decide what you want. Either performance or looks. 15s are the ideal size for track but they are too small to boulevard pimp.
If I were you, I would purchase 16's. I myself own a set of 17' Te37 and I regreted it. First of all, you lose acceleration. Last, its a pain to purchase a new set of tires.

I am with you on the 16's though. great balance between form and function

Um...it's kind of against the laws of physics to "lose" acceleration when using bigger wheels. The larger the wheel, the larger the radius...the greater the circumferance of the circle, therefore, you travel a longer distance per revolution of the axle/wheel/tire. Now...if you lost acceleration it's probably because the tires were WIDER, not because the wheels were bigger.
Work is force times distance. If you increase the distance, and the force to turn the wheel is the same, then the amount of work your engine must do must go up.
Horsepower is work divided by time, if you increase the amount of work, but keep the horsepower the same, time must increase. If time increases, that means you are slower.
Cliff notes: Larger total diameter means slower acceleration, but greater high speed.

It is always HARDER to turn a BIGGER wheel based on your moment of inertia. A 17" wheel that is lighter than a 14" wheel will typically be twice as much, so why fight it.

Stock GS-R + 205/50-15 on my car. I love it. I might like to get a wider 15" wheel or a 16" wheel, but for now these are great, less money I have to worry about spending on wheels. These will soon be gunmetal painted.
argh, can someone fix mine?
