My dad had a 91 a couple of years ago and the auto trans crapped out completely out of nowhere on the highway one day, that was with 151,000 miles I believe.
I already asked when the timing belt and pump were done in an email and i'll be calling first thing tomorrow morning.
I've wanted one of these since my dad had his and this one seems ideal for both my budget and tastes..however I dont want my lack of knowledge on them to blind me from potential red flags so I ask for tips and help.

thats alot of miles.
things to look out for:
-rust on side panels and wheel wells
-overheating (notorious for blown head gaskets BHG)
-jerkey shifts in tranny (rear tranny mount needs to be replaced)
-AC blow cold enough
I would look else where especially something w/ less mileage and also these cars are thirsty so take that into effect w/ today's gas prices.

Look for:
1) < 150,000 miles
2) >= 1993 L coupe
3) == manual
4) != floating temperature guage
5) != odd colored smoke
6) != coolant in the oil
7) != slipping clutch
1 will ensure you get one with decently low miles (for an 11-15 year old car)
2 will ensure you get a type 2
3 will ensure you get a 6 speed
4 - 6 will help avoid the dreaded BHG
7 will save you 1-2000 in labor and parts
