Default Carbon Fiber?

I have heard that carbon fiber deteriorates fast and is have seen pics of hoods that look like they have little dents in them??? Does it really deteriorate fast or what?

they don't deteriorate but if you don;t take car of them the clear coate is gonna fade and make it look NASTY! Just like my bros EVO 8 spoiler! There aren't any dents in them, if you buy cheap quality, low grade hoods then it looks like they have dents but what you are probably seeing is the imperfect weaves in the hood.

it all depends on how it was made. if it was sealed well it will last. same goes with the clear coat. most of the cheap cf stuff uses cheap clear coating and makes it fade.
