Title on the EK shell
Ok this is a long story. I bought an EK shell two days ago for 300 (not bad) well i made a down payment acctually its at my house im paying the rest when i recieve the title. It has no motor, no front end, and no seats (interior is fine exept for wires all over the place.) The guy told me he bought it with just a dented fender and everything else is fine. I was looking around the car yesterday and i noticed it had been painted almost 5 times. Of course a few things jumped in my hed, 1. The car is hot, 2. It had been crashed a few times, but somthing wasnt right. So i went on carfax and got the report and well heres some of the stuff...

So it has a salvage title According to this, but the guy didnt mention it to me. He is coming with the title tommarow, and he says it is from virginia.
The car dosent appear to be dammaged at all!!! I mean the body is almost perfict. Dispite the missing peices. But the frame is fine.
My question is if it does have a slavaged title how can I retitle it? And is the salvage inspection a pain in the ***??? Also leave me any comments or opinions you guys have Please, give me a little help/advice. Im some what pissed.

retitled ? i thought once its salvaged its salvaged.. im guessing you have to get it blue tagged. that where the cops look it over and make sure its street legal. ie lights, exhaust system, etc. dont think it is like they will dyno it or anything. probably should hit the dmv and see what they say.
I read up on this a little bit, and heres what i found.... If a car has a salvage title, you can get a clean title. You have to pass the state salvage inspection, i am almost 100% positive i will have it running by august. Im just going to put everything to stock and then drop in my old motor. Im gonna head to the MVA and to the dealership tommarow and see what else i can do. But yeah if anyone has more info or any opinion let me know please.
