Default Another PINKS, Another HONDA, Another Loss!

What in the world are these people Doing?

They got schooled, that Mustang team was sand bagging bad. They knew it but couldn't catch a break, when they did, the tranny blew. I felt bad for you, Rich wouldn't even take your side on the cars in the first few races.

All the would of/could ofs/should ofs! Should have just let him walk you 10 cars on the first race! Funny thing is, the mustang would have probably not let you do that!

These domestic guys are making you/us look really bad. Do I need to break out the VW's to get some respect for the imports?

Sorry folks! Don't take me serious, you were dominated in the negotiations and it cost your ride! That other team knew the game much better and again, you couldn't get the breaks you needed to have a shot!

From what i heard, the mustang guys got caught testing by the pinks crew after the race. The mustang guys said they had an 11 or 12 sec. car or something, but went 10.30 in testing. After discussing it with the pinks crew, they agreed to give the honda back to the guys who lost it. The mustang guys hadn't run the car before the show. They knew it was faster than what they said, but they also knew it wasn't a fair race. Pinks needs to do a better job of picking the cars, they can't just take everyone's word for what they have and what they run...

Should do a REAL Honda-Tech Drag Racing forum sponsored car with everyone chipping in here or there. Put a hot shoe like Hunt in the seat and a good tuner and send a 150mph Honda out there.

How do they pair them up? Can't you bring both cars to the show? I know some Mustang guys around here that think they are hot **** that would run a Honda any day. If someone could put up a 10.0 car they would be ok. I hate this giving lengths crap.

I feel like the Hondas going out there are 11 second cars IF the guy can drive and IF it doesn't break.

yea they need dunkd to go out ther ein his 10 sec 4door eg lol, you can work the negotiations out and be liek come on its a street 4door lol

yea we need to run simular cars, it only take like 3g's to build a junkyard 11sec foxbody these guys are throwin a 250 shot on a stock 5.0 and running 11's wen we need a tad bit more to do so and to them 3g's arent much of a loss

the civic said he ran a best of 14.9 with that car...

they both were sandbagging... no way an h22 hatch stripped ran a 14.9

that shows gay... never have good races

true, this is absolute crap, i have personaly driven an almost stock H22 hatch on BABY slicks into the high 12s. that whole show was a load of crap. an H22 slicked up, lexan'd put with a big shot on it should easily do low 11s.

and i dont believe for am inute that any of these mustang guys are bringing out stock headed, stock displacement 302s, i mean c'mon, i use to be a RWD guy once too

its almost to the point where i want to put my hatch up for some races on the show

They should stick with personal rivalries like on the first few shows. That way we should see more heads up races and no more ultra mismatched races like a 10.0 car vs. a 12.50 car. I know of quite a few rivalries here but nobody's willing to risk their high dollar, built set ups for a tv show. Now if it was for a money wager, they would have no problem but a missed shift, the car breaking up, or any random problem and you gotta wave your car goodbye. I suppose what I'm concluding is that mostly budget cars are put on the line so they're not as reliable nor as consistent as their built counterparts and most people won't risk their "built" racecar.

Werd having more races per shows would also be good idea like some money runs/rivalries type things. And i still dont get why somebody cant go on that show with a budget minded boosted Crx and clean up. power to weight ratio owns joo.

The Civic had more in the Paint job than it did in the setup.

It was a totally stock H22 with a 100 shot. The best the car has run was a mid 12.
Not even close to a fair match up with the Mustang.

When we went back to film our 2nd eposide the Mustang crew was giving the Civic back to the owner.

The Episode you all are waiting for will air on the 17th of May.

have there been any girl racers on the show yet? that would be an awesome. i agree with the race professor, i think most people are putting up a car that they are willing to part with.

That's the thing, unless you have unlimited funds to throw at a high dollar car, you try and bring a budget car.
Take the car we built for instance, everyone gave us crap for building a D series motor. That car hauled ***, ask Tony, he drove it too a 11.2 and it probably had more in it. Same with the RX7 that beat us, built together from parts laying around the shop, and that thing hauled *** as well.
Building a fast and cheap car is easy. Having PINKS put you up against an "equal" car is a whole other ball game.
The only fair import show so far was our show with the PINK Civic and the RX7, had our car been up to par it would have been one hell of a show
