Default "aftermarket" bumpers worth getting?

Hey guys,
i have a question..
I recently noticed that while i was at school, i guess someone musta hit my front bumper, and gawd i was so pissed.. so i decided to fix it, along with the rear one that had been hit a while ago at the SAME place, (im changing my parking spot)
anyway, i was looking for a front&rear bumper, and the only ones i could find that are available atm are all those ebay knockoff ones, made of god knows what, but anyway, i was wondering if they're even worth getting, or should i just save my money and keep looking around, because i really like the "INTEGRA" letters on the front&back and those dont even look like they have it.. thank you
ps. the "aftermarket" bumpers are regular OEM bumpers, so nothing too special about them cept - the teg imprints

personally I would go with oem just so you are sure its going to fit properly and most likely will look better.

I was thinking about that.. not to bash ppl with body kits but i want to keep my teg looking like a teg..
and those bumpers are kinda.. wierd.. im pretty sure they're most likely lighter.. but what's the point of getting it if they dont say "INTEGRA"
or am i being too picky?

Not to picky at all. Body kits are ugly. I would never get anything but OEM for my car. and I don't think you should either.

Well it's not really a body kit, it made of something obviousely not original.. and it LOOKS like an OEM part.. but i know it wasnt made by acura/honda

the only reason I wouldn't get it is because it probably is going to fit as well as an actual OEM part.

Those "oem" lookalikes fit pretty good, but they're made out of a more flexible material then the Real oem bumper.

People here seem to be confused about this. There's two types of aftermarket bumpers: "body kits", and regular "aftermarket bumpers". Body kits replace your bumpers, are aftermarket, but are NOT in the OEM style. They are almost always horrendously ugly too. Regular aftermarket bumpers look just like OEM ones, and are meant to be used as inexpensive replacements. I seriously doubt that it's all that hard to make a compatible bumper assuming you have a factory with the necessary tooling and molds, so fit probably isn't a big problem, though they may have cheaped out a little in materials, like by making it thinner. But the main problem is that they don't have the "INTEGRA" engraving in them because that would be a trademark violation.

So I guess what it all comes down to is whether you want to pay hundreds more for a bumper that says "INTEGRA". The OEM bumpers are quite expensive unless you can find them used on Ebay. If your car is a 94-97, however, you can probably get used OEM bumpers pretty cheap since so many people are upgrading to the newer ones.

aftermarket skin from carparts wholesale.com= a hundred somtin shipped
oem from acura247.com= $246.16 not shipped!

however you go, its a smart idea to move ur car. high-schoolers cant drive yet! they think they can though.
