I was driving my car the other day and my car started bogging down and i shifted from 1st to 2nd gear and accelerated a bit just incase the car was to turn off and i parked it and turned it off. Minutes after i tried turning it on and cranked for a bit, than all of the sudden it just made a noise like if it's coming from the distributer. i got a check engine light but than it went away and it hasn't come back on. I took off the bolt from the fuel filter and cranked it and i had fuel. i have no spark so i'm assuming it needs a new distributer. or can it be the igniter or coil?

Anyone have any clue what is wrong? Any Input is greatly appreciated.

 

Try a new distributor, maybe plugs and wires. is it throwing any codes?

 

Not throwing any codes, at first when it started bogging he said it had the check engine light on but he doesn't know anything about codes and such it's just his daily driver.
