Default Timing 55 degrees help me!!!

My friend just swapped a b18b1 back in my integra and the timing is way off. it was at 55 degrees than i retarded it with the distributor to 33 degrees. TO fix the timing do i just move it a tooth over, or is there more.
I know its really high, i need to know how to lower it thanks.
