Default Remanufactured Tranny from Autozone

My tranny went on my 98 accord and Autozone has them for $1,500 plus core. does anyone know how good this trannys are? I took my car to a local tranny shop and they want $2,900 to rebuild mine, thats a bunch of bull.

autozone rebuilds using the lowest bidder possible. You better make sure that all of the updates were applied (ie fix for 2nd gear cluth packs, upgraded differential bearings, etc)

found them

the thing about autotransmission is, a manual one only have 400-500 parts while an auto tranny have over thousands.

one little thing goes wrong and the tranny is toast.

it's better to use a used but in good condition auto than a new reman.

just my two cents

for some reason ive seen alot of f23 available on online junkyards and dismantlers. id rather pick up a low mileage auto tranny for like $250 put it in myself and gamble on it than pay $1500 for a reman one and still to gamble w/ it failing.
