should i run slicks ???

Default should i run slicks ???

ok .. i went to the track last night and ran my car on a 14" on street tires and on my first run i had real bad wheel hop and on the second i just spun them bad ... my car is a 96 hatch and im running a b18c ... just got it tuned and im making 200whp and 130 ft/lb ... what im trying to figure out is should i run a 22" slick or try a drag radial first ???


i only got in two runs so heres the better of the two

1st run
r/t ... .444
60'... 2.300
330 ... 6.084
1/8 ... 9.167
MPH... 81.27
1000... 11.787
1/4 ... 14.016
MPH... 101.94

thats what i was kinda leaning towards ... should i upgrade my axles or anything ?? i know that im getting a traction bar reall soon

Hi Evil_EK: With 200 HP you will do find on the M&H 8/22-13 Slick.

Do a search on the word(s) "preloading", "preload". I've explained it many times on here. Preload and you'll be fine w/the stock Axles.

12.90's are achievable w/ a good/excellent driver. (1.7 60's will be needed to achieve that IMO).

or if u want to be easy on ur axles u can use 22'' slick on 15'' rims

i wouldnt worry about axles.. buddie of mine had 456 whp turbo hatch.. stock axles on slicks.. 10.7 quarter only broke 1 axle..
