valve stem installed height, and valve jobs
got my head back from acura. had them check my valve seat depth to see what my valve stem installed height is. the woman at acura wasnt able to give me a definite answer or not, but does anyone know how much material is removed during a valve job? judging by the numbers below, it appears a couple of the valve seats are close/exceeding the standard but not yet over the limit. is it safe to go for one more valve job?
here are the specs:
cyl 1 intake: 37.64-37.62
exhaust: 37.62 to 37.41
cyl 2 intake: 37.95 to 37.92
exhaust: 37.75 to 37.47
cyl 3 intake: 37.71 to 37.69
exhaust: 37.67 to 37.77
cyl 4 intake: 37.88 to 37.92
exhaust: 37.73 to 37.44
here are the Helms standard and limit measurements:
Intake: 37.465 to 37.935 limit 38.185
