Default Track *Video* Of My Stock DOHC ZC On 15lbs

Alright if you haven't read my other thread, I have a stock block and head zc on pump gas running 15lbs. When I mean stock I mean everything is how honda put it together from factory. The intake manifold, valve train, rods, pistons, etc is all factory and has never been touched. We just put on my turbo setup and tuned for 3hrs to get a perfect map for my 15lbs. Im really doing this because I ran this same motor on 10lbs for a year and it had no signs of failure. I became curious to see the limits of the motor with a awesome tune on pump gas. We ended up making 278whp and 230wtq on a dynojet by the end of the night. Any who, I took the car out to the track and wanted 11's since on 10lbs I was running a 12.4@112. First run was a 12.0@117 and the last run was what made me happy an 11.95@113.

Yea, I kept trying to do a 2nd gear burnout and it wasnt working for me. Plus I can't bang off the rev limiter right now cuz its set at 8k and the zc head is really only good for 7.5k.

Great E.t's for such a simple setup. Why the MPH inconsitency though? 117 seems right for your power level but, the 112 and 113mph passes seem a lil' on the low side for 278whp. You having boost control issues? Nonetheless

Looks like you need to hold it in 1st gear longer...appears to me your shifting into 2nd way too early causing you to bog a little...good job for just a basic set up

I thought about why my mph dropped on the last run. Since I couldn't get a decent burn out I spun the top of 4th and ended up maxing it out, I shifted into 5th right before hitting the lights. That second I let off the gas must of dropped my mph. I should have full throttle shifted it now that I think of it.

Yea since I haven't figured out the art of the burn out yet the slicks were cold and weren't gripping in 4th.
