I want to get welding BUT i have a couple questions.
I have done some wiring in the past and i feel VERY confident in wiring my garage with 240.. But the real question is
I have the Thermal Arc 185 TSW and it says either 208v @45amps or 230v @ 40 amps.. I have 240. I just do not want to eat up a brand new welder because of my own stupidity. So my question is, Will 240 be ok when the welder says 208 or 230??
Thank you for your time!

PS I already ran the wire up to code, but i just dont want to plug it in until i know for sure! (I forgot to hit post earlier when i wrote this and i went to wire it so i'm just adding this in now.. lol

230V will work fine. It's the standard electricity. 230, 240, 220, they're the same thing.
208V is three phase. It means that the welder is capable of functioning on 3 phase electricity.
