Default Hole drilled in front bumper to mount LP?

I went to wash my 06 Si today and decided to take off the front license plate and bracket.Well I took it off to find that the dealer had used the actual middle anchor point and drilled a hole into my front bumper. Now, looking at pictures that have been posted of '06 Civics with the front plate deleted, I notice no hole was drilled in that center point on peoples cars. I called American Honda and all they told me was that they couldn't do anything because they ship the cars with the plate brackets in the trunk and that the dealer installs them.
Anyone else have a hole drilled into their front bumper just to mount the LP? Seems most dealers would just use the bottom anchor points and stay away from drilling a damn hole in the car. I'm going to take it up with the dealership tomorrow, just curious if this happened to anyone else. Thanks.

Using the CRX as a parts car? haha I don't need to pay attention, just as long as I look like I'm taking notes. Thanks mang. I'll call those fools later to see if I can get some kind of plug. Word.

As far as I can tell, my LP bracket isnt connected towards the top at all, just from the underneath where the lip is. I've thought about taking it off, but I don't know how much a ticket is for not having one, so i dont want to risk it.

Those ******** in the prep dept have nothing better to do but make an unecessary
hole in the front bumper

Your not the only one many dealerships are doing the same thing. Better for you anyway you won't get any tickets for not having on your front tag.

i work for honda and in a state that requires front plates it is no issue. we put those screws in there so the bracket stays flush to the bumper and not all hanging off with a large gap. but i agree they should have a cover that pops off the bumper so if you take it off you can just pop the cover back on. s2000 and ridgelines have it.

i got the ticket and it was $35 plus i had to get a front lisence plate and have a law enforcement officer write the ticket off. or pay the court like $25 to write it off. its better just to ask an officer to wrtite it off while he/she is in a good mood

Tough break on the hole in ur car man... the dealership i bought mine at (and now work at) didnt put mine on at all, said they didnt wanna **** me, or anyone who buys a car off. I'm one the ******** in the PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) dept and we NEVER put the top screw(s) in any car that we put the front holder on, that sucks for you though man.
