Default Going to smog my car soon! Need some advice!

Hi honda members. I am going to smog my 99 Integra LS with 144K miles sometime next week and just wondering what I need to change in order to pass the smog. My car is stock except for a DC header and MSD spark plugs wire. I will change the spark plugs, oil, and perhaps the spark plug wire. Does anyone knows how long the spark plugs wire last? I have used mine for two years now and have put in about 45-50,000 miles on it. should I replace it just in case? Are there anything else I need to change?

Also, two years ago the smog tech guy said that I barely passed the smog. He said that two years later, which today, he guarantee that I will not pass smog because he thinks that my cat converter is bad. So if what he said is true, does anyone knows where I can buy an brand new oem one for cheap? I ask the dealer once and I think they said $800 which I think it is too much. Especially after labor, it cost around $1000 (WTF, to think about it, it is too much). Someone please help me out if know where I can get one for cheap.

Thank in advance for any help.

You can get an aftermarket one and be just fine, you will not find a new oem one for cheap.

I am a tech at a toyota dealership and have replaced cats with aftemarket ones, some direct fit, some not. I just purchased one for my teg from kteller, its a 2.5 inch one for a custom exhaust and only was $80.00.

Who is kteller? How can I contact this person/site? So I can just use any aftermarket obd 2 cat converter and it works? Any other suggestions?

thanks
